Drip, drop, drip, drop
"Ugh." I said outloud, "I hate November."
"It's not all that bad!" A perky little voice said.
I jumped "OH MY GOODNESS."
I turned around to face an Emily doll who had a mini Felicity doll in her hands.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you." She apologized.
"It's okay. I guess." I muttered.
"I'm Emily Bennett" She declared while putting her hand out to shake mine.
"Uh... Marita Pilchard, but you can call me Rita." I introduced, then shook her hand.
"Marita- that's such a different name." She said.
"Well, I'm a different doll." I replied.
"Awesome! I wish I could be different." she then looked down.
"What do you mean?" I wondered.
"I can't ever be different. I can't make up my own personality, or ANYTHING that you My American Girls can do." She said, glumly.
"Hey, it can't be that bad!" I tried to think positive.
"Yes it can, and it is." She said, her big blue eyes filled with sadness.
"You know what, I'm going to help you." I said, standing up and walking to her.
She looked up immediately "Really?" She smiled.
"Totally, I'll start tomorrow" I said, smiling back.
"Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!" She said, then ran to her box.
I walked back to my box slowly, then sighed and said
"Maybe I just found my best friend." Then went into it and listened to the lost iPod I found.
Taylor Swift softly sang me to sleep, singing
"You take my hand and drag me head first, Fearless."
What I was doing was a bit fearless.
