"Sonny. Kenna." I confronted. I gave them 2 weeks to set aside their differences and be best friends again.
Any luck?
I'll answer that with a big fat
NO.
They need to grow up and help me get Annabelle back.
"Please?" I asked.
Sonny and Kenna looked at each other, then at me, then each other again.
"I have nothing to say to her." Sonny snapped.
"Neither do I." Kenna retorted.
"Oh, I didn't know we were acting like five-year-old's today." I said, sarcastically.
They sat there in silence. Sitting back-to-back.
"If you want to act like 5-year-old's, I'll treat you like them." I said, pulling both of their hair.
"OW OW OW!" They both screamed.
"Too bad. Now make up." I demanded, letting go of their hair. Making them both look like a mess.
"You look like crap." Sonny giggled.
"That really boosts up the self esteem. You look terrible too." Kenna chuckled.
"Friends?" Sonny asked.
"Best." Kenna answered, then they hugged.
"Aw." I smiled.
They looked at me.
"Okay, sorry for ruining the moment." I rolled my eyes.
Sonny chuckled "Come on, Lovely Rita. I'm in a huggy mood all of a sudden." Sonny smiled, then pulled me into their hug.
We all just stood their, hugging.
"Who's hair smells like Strawberries?" Kenna asked.
"Mine." I laughed. We all erupted in giggles.
"Ready to go save the holidays for one Annabelle Martin?" Sonny asked.
Kenna and I nodded.
The three of us began to walk towards Annie's box.
"WAIT!" Kenna said, putting her arms in front of Sonny and I to stop us.
"What?" I questioned, Sonny had a puzzled look on her face.
"We need to look the part!" Kenna exclaimed.
I looked down at what we all were wearing;
Sonny was wearing Bell-Bottomed Jeans, a long teal shirt and teal flats.
Kenna was wearing a pink dress with a white jacket and white and pink boots.
I was wearing my old light blue Beatles shirt and black skinny jeans with tan boots.
"She's right." I said, after making my observations.
After all changing into black turtleneck sweaters and black leggings with black flats, we all snuck over to Annabelle's box.
"Why did we have to change?" Sonny asked, adjusting her black beanie hat.
"Because, we needed to look the part." Kenna repeated.
I fidgeted with the black headband that was around my head.
"You're no help at all, Marita Pilchard." Kenna sighed.
"Wow, McKenna Walters, I'm flattered!" I remarked.
"Wow, we're all so sarcastic." Sonny chuckled then we all laughed.
"Now, let's go save Annie." Kenna said defiantly.
"From what?" I asked.
"Herself."
I peered inside the box.
"She's asleep!" I whispered.
Sonny and Kenna lifted up each end of her box and began to walk it over to where our boxes were, which is where the trucks go back to the factory.
"Almost there....." Sonny whispered.
"I love it here." A box muttered.
We became dead silent.
I looked inside.
"Well?" Sonny whispered.
"She's sleep-talking! Keep moving!" I whispered back.
They did as they were told and Annabelle continued sleep-talking about Elephants.
We reached the truck safe and sound.
Sonny and Kenna ran to go grab our boxes, they left me to supervise Annabelle, who was still sleeping.
"Hummmm." She softly said.
"Hey." I smiled.
She woke up with a start
"AH!"
"ANNIE! CALM DOWN! IT'S JUST ME! RITA!" I yelled.
"Oh. Oh. I see. You scared me, Pilchard." She said, breathing heavily.
"Calm down. Do you need some water?" I asked.
She nodded, and I handed her a water bottle that I had brought along.
"Thanks." She smiled.
"Where are we?" She asked.
"In the truck." I said.
"WHAT?!"
"You're going home, Annie. Whether or not you want to." I said firmly.
"Well...... Well.........." She stuttered.
"Okay." She finished.
"You better get some rest. We have a long ride ahead of us." I advised.
"Yeah, thanks Rita." She smiled then fell back into a deep sleep.
I yawned, and then Sonny and Kenna came back with all of our boxes.
"Let's get some shut-eye. We have a big day ahead of us." I advised.
They nodded and we all got into our pyjamas and went to sleep.
